On this tour you’ll see the remnants of previous inhabitants, including the beautiful but hitherto neglected Georgian weavers houses and hear the stories of the people who have shaped this neighbourhood through constant regeneration to make it one of the most vibrant and colourful in London today, where artists such as Tracy Emin and Gilbert and George, live side by side with its most recent immigrants, the Bangladeshi residents of Banglatown.

Adjacent to the wealth and power of the City of London, its fringes, Spitalfields especially, have been a melting pot of ideas and cultures for centuries, thanks to the various waves of immigrants from the Romans to the French Huguenots and the European Jews.

Our customers say...
"We spent a wonderful time with Karen as our guide on 2 tours – one in the Westminster Abbey and the other - learning about London’s wonderful theatre history. Firstly, I was amazed how knowledgeable she is! In our group we had some local people and foreigners, and she made the tour interesting for all. There were so many interesting facts I never could read in a tourist guidebook. And locals were surprised by some facts they never knew although it was not the first time they visited these locations. It was all well organized, paced, and managed. Karen has great storytelling skills and very pleasant voice to listen when walking through the streets of London.
Thank you, and I will be back again!

"Last April, Karen took us on a tour in Westminster Abbey. It was engaging from start to finish. She is a born story-teller and brings history to life with interesting details and fun facts (although life wasn't always fun in the old days:;-)). I appreciated how she kept the group together (we were numerous)in a diplomatic and friendly way and built a good connection. She is super knowledgeable about the abbey but doesn't overload you with info and keeps up the pace. Especially for a non UK resident like myself, I truely enjoyed listening to someone so passionate about her city and history! Thanks, Karen, for an unforgettable tour!"
