However well you know London, there’s always something new to discover. If you have someone in the know to help you look, the experience is all the richer.

From the capital’s famous sights to its hidden treasures, whatever your interests, whatever parts of London you want to explore and however much time you have, I’ll ensure you have a wonderfully memorable adventure.

Here are a few tours to whet your appetite...

The clock at Smithfields Market dating from 1870.

On the Bright Sparks, Genious Plots and Historic Spots tour, you’ll be inspired by stories of the courage, tenacity and boundless imagination of those at the forefront of scientific endeavour over the last 300 years.

The Hidden Gems of Clerkenwell tour reveals the many sides of a district once on the fringes of the City, in more ways than one, and now a vibrant urban oasis.

Authors and their lives make colourful subject matter for a tour anywhere in London. Here’s just one example: the Literary tour of Bloomsbury.

See two worlds collide, the financial centre of the City of London and those who make a living on its fringes, in the Traders, Barrow Boys and Grafters tour.

Join me on my Old London’s fairytale Christmas Central London tour where you’ll hear how London invented many of our Christmas traditions and be dazzled by some of the most stunning Christmas light displays in the capital.

Greenground Trails

The longer Greeenground trails are an excellent way to appreciate how London expanded and to discern the wildly different characters of adjacent neighbourhoods. I have a full day west to east trail Royal parks, squares, markets and canals and two shorter half day trails. The first explores the fashionable west end of town Royal parks, royal palaces and neighbourhood squares and the second the earthy, edgy east end of town Monks, markets and regeneration.

"Interested, informative and engaging. Our guide clearly knew her stuff – She sprinkled fascinating information with fun and quirky facts that engaged and entertained our party who was of all age groups. Time whizzed by and I was astounded by how much we had covered. Fantastic tour… Really recommend"
Richard
"I’ve now been on two separate tours with Karen as guide and I will definitely be signing up for more. Karen obviously has a huge amount of knowledge, and brings things to life through fascinating stories and anecdotes. The walks have been thoughtfully planned, well paced and kept me engrossed for the whole time. Highly recommended for anyone who has a curiosity to learn more about London. "
Sue
"What a superb day! Karen gave us a splendid 150-180 minute tour of Westminster Abbey and - my! - does she know her stuff! Peers, poets, scientists, warriors, kings and queens, and, of course, the Abbey itself:; Karen had interesting stories and an engaging delivery for all of them and was more than happy to deal with our questions. A really great morning, rounded off with a walk across Parliament Square and along Parliament Street and Whitehall to Trafalgar Square. I thought I knew this part of London, but not a bit of it:; Karen had something new every few metres! Thank you, Karen:; we'll be back!"
